I started choreographing for my film Hallowed today.
right now there is a dance piece for each act, though I think I’ll only end up with one on screen when all is said and done. I’m wanting the piece to be active storytelling, and not a crutch or gimmick, which of course is my fear… but it came from the writing, not just a desire to film dance.
MUSIC
This is the music we’re working on the licensing for, but I think it will come down to an after Principal photography decision on the part of the artist, who will most likely be asking to see the film before giving final consent.
SONG CHOICE
If you’ve already read the first or second draft… you may be wondering about the choice,in relation to the lyrical content of the song and our 7 year old blond protagonist..Wait for it.
I’m trying to document some as I work, so later I might have a better grasp on my own creative process.
